What can I say about Jenna Marbles...to be honest she sorta defies description, but I'll give it a shot.  Truly a YouTube Icon JM, to me, defines the Be Who You Are Without Apology mantra to a T.  No subject is off limits and her opinions, while shocking at times, are absolutely honest and extremely entertaining.  Thank you Miss Marbles for being who you are.  You are an inspiration to many.

Check out one of my first attempts at stop-motion Domo Jam.

No original sketch for this one.  I drew it directly on Sketchbook Pro.

Next up is Ray William Johnson.  He's been a YouTube celebrity for years now and if you haven't watched his web show Equals Three then you're missing out.  RWJ reviews viral videos and leaves the links to all the vids in his comments section.  So many people have had bumps in their viewership due to his reviews.  He's expanded into having his own production company Runaway Planet and now does a podcast regularly with his partner in crime (and a YouTube celebrity in her own right) Anna Akana where they discuss all sorts of stuff...funny..and serious.  A truly funny man and well worth checking out...

Thanks Ray.

One month down and eleven to go.  I've brainstormed tons of themes for this project, but honestly there are a few I am looking forward to with much excitement and a few I'm still on the fence about.  YouTube Icons was one of my first theme ideas and I almost tossed it out cause it's a bit intimidating to try and draw someone you don't know without offending them by making them look too fat, sick, or ugly.  But I didn't toss is out and after having drawn four so far I'm pretty happy I didn't.  For each of the Icons I picked I went back and watched a bunch of their videos.  Videos that inspired me to start up my own YouTube Channel.
The first Icon I could remember getting hooked on was Adande better known as sWooZie on YouTube and in the pro-gaming world.  He started off by vlogging about his life as a pro-gamer and got a ton of followers just from that notoriety.  However, he quickly spread to other fans as people shared links to his extremely entertaining videos.  He's done stop-motion, animation, how-to videos, and much much more.  He's a wonderful storyteller and his charming personality and insightful ideas are always positive.  If you have a moment go check him out but I warn you.....you may just loose a few hours of your life to laughter.

031/365 Hawaii 5-0 #nopantsontv

Hawaii 5-0
 #nopantsontv

Alright in my defense I was sort of out of sorts this past Friday.  Not only was I crazy excited to see myself on Hawaii 5-0,

but my external hard drive decided to die and I had no back up for the 3 years of work I had saved there.  Stupid I know and I really want to say thanks to my wife Nikki for helping through my mourning period, and to Todd for doing what he could to attempt to recover the files.  This means all of the tools I'd collected &/or made for my videos and photographs are gone.  Family photos and vacation videos all gone because I was dumb and didn't have a back up.  Lesson learned for sure....
I must start again and build new tools and props.
So on a day of big highs and lows I drew the doodle above in honor of the positive part of the day.  Then I went and drew the bread at our table during lunch at the Old Spag Factory the next day.  Not realizing that a new theme started on the first of the month...lol so I drew twice on Saturday but chose to add the bread to the end of the food themed week...

Here's to moving always onward and upward without regrets.

Happy Doodling and for Pete's sake back up your files people,
Chris

No food themed week of mine would be complete without the awesome-zingyness that is BACON.
I'm about to go on an all vegetable diet which will mean no more bacon until I reach my goal weight....
Goodbye for now my friend you are indeed AWESOME.

Continuing with the "food" themed week I chose to draw one of our family's favorite meals....well to be fair its 75% of our family's favorite meals....Mommy's kinda sick of it having grown up eating it all the time...

My son Connor looooves Goldfish crackers.  He can go through one of those big boxes in just under a week, and faster if we let him.
